Nipunika Sarkar

Nipunika Sarkar is a Broadcast Professional and an educator for Media studies, for the past 24 years. She is Assistant Professor, Amity School of Communication. She is an expert Voice Over artist and an English News Reader, with the Public Broadcaster All India Radio, reading National, International and Prime Time bulletins and Parliament News. She is coordinator for many educational projects of the Government of India, including SWAYAM of the MHRD. Her journey in leading news channels of India, has given her niche expertise to train media students at Amity. Nipunika’s expertise is in Broadcast Journalism, Anchoring & Presentation. Her latest projects include Compering the 7th India Water Week, organized by the ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. The programme was Inauurated by President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, along with Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Mos Jalshakti Sr. Prahlad Singh Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Sh . Yogi Adityanath. The programme valedictory was graced by Vice President of India, Sh. Jagdeep Dhankar. In July, 2022, she moderated session on Qualitative techniques in Research. She has been felicitated by many honours. DFRAC felicitated her for contributions to academics and media, in August 2022. Bharat Vikas Parishad has felicitated Nipunika with the title ‘Iconic Woman of North India 2019’. She was delegated to be part of the 3-Continent course of BA (J&MC) 3C at London, UK in 2019. She is Coordinator, Industry Interaction for ASCO. She is working on a book on media branding, for academic purpose. She is course coordinator for ‘SWAYAM’, an initiative by the MHRD. Earlier she has coordinated, designed & anchored E-content subjects for Jamia Millia Islamia & for UGC DD VYAS Channel. Her guest lectures and workshops on Broadcast Journalism includes at IIMC New Delhi, Galgotia University Noida, Sharda University Noida, Mangalayatan University Aligarh, IES University Bhopal & Prestige Institute of Management and Research Indore (PIMR). She is Member of Board of Studies (BoS), Mangalayatan University, Aligarh. She is part of ‘Folkartopedia’, an initiative to preserve and document Indian fork art culture. She has credit to be part of Social Media Campaigns of Centre for Social Research (CSR). She voiced film on cancer awareness with legendry DD Anchor Shammi Narang. She also voiced documentary on ‘Girl Child Abuse’; which was premiered at Oslo, Norway. She has moderated multiple webinars with industry experts & eminent personalities. In her kit she has hundreds of articles and scripts for Print, Web & Electronic Media. Her interviews published and broadcasted at National channel of AIR and Interviewtimes.com. She was part of script writing & voicing for ‘AIR Year Ender’ Programme 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015. Her articles were published in Press Council Journals. Apart from teaching and news reading she is pursuing her PhD from Amity University. Her overall experience is 24 years in which more than 15 years in academic & 9 years in Electronic and Print Media.
