Neil Grimes

Neil Grimes is the Education and Curriculum Materials Librarian at the David and Lorraine Cheng Library in Wayne, New Jersey and a former school library media specialist. Recently, he co-presented at the 2023 ACRL Conference on a panel for academic librarians on how academic libraries address mental health and well-being of both their students and themselves. Previously, Neil presented a conference session at the 2021 AASL Conference in Salt Lake City titled Virtual Library Outreach to Support the Virtual Teaching and Learning Experiences of Faculty and Students: Supporting Teachers and Students in a Local School District. Additionally, he had an article titled Real Men Read–A library led reading initiative program published in March of 2021 in the peer-reviewed journal, College & Undergraduate Libraries and had an article titled the Power and Possibilities of Partnerships for Schools and Students published in August/September 2022 in the peer-reviewed journal, Knowledge Quest. Neil currently serves on ALA’s EBSS Curriculum Materials Center Committee and the Committee on Education. Additionally, he is currently serving as the co-chair of the New Jersey Library Association’s Professional Development Committee. Neil also presently serves on the New Jersey Library Association-College and Universities Section/Academic College and Research Libraries Marketing and Outreach Committee.
