Natalina Martiniello

Natalina Martiniello received a B.A. in English Literature and Educational Studies from McGill University and a M.Sc and Ph.D. in Vision Science (Vision Impairment and Rehabilitation) from Université de Montréal. She is an Assistant Professor at the School of Optometry, Université de Montréal, where her research focuses on braille, accessibility and inclusive technology for individuals who are blind or who have low vision. She previously worked as a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist, providing braille and assistive technology instruction to individuals with visual impairments of all ages. As a researcher, practitioner and person with lived experience, she regularly writes and presents on inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility for individuals with visual impairments, especially as this relates to digital accessibility, access to information and braille literacy. She is the Past-President of Braille Literacy Canada.
