Murat Akarsu

Murat Akarsu is an associate professor in Mathematics Education at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University. He earned his master degree in the Mathematics Department at Cincinnati University in USA, and earned Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at Purdue University in USA. He was a research assistant in the School of Engineering Education within the epistemic research lab for two years, particularly the EngrTEAMS project. Implemented and published research, wrote integrated curriculums for middle school students. Dr. Murat Akarsu’s work is focused on how engineering and engineering thinking promote integrated learning in K-12 mathematics and science classrooms, as well as in engineering classrooms. His professional objectives are to help all students gain a better understanding of mathematics and engineering.
