Muna Sapkota

Muna Sapkota is currently a second-year doctoral student in Curriculum studies at Purdue University's Department of Curriculum and Instruction. With a strong academic background, Muna's expertise lies in the field of education. Prior to her enrollment at Purdue, she spent eight years teaching secondary and undergraduate English courses in Nepal, honing her instructional skills, and gaining valuable experience. Currently, Muna serves as a course instructor for EDCI 20500: Exploring Teaching as a Career, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for education to aspiring teachers. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she is actively involved as a graduate assistant, contributing to summer research initiatives at the Center for Intercultural Learning, Mentorship, Assessment, and Research (CILMAR). Muna's research interests primarily revolve around intercultural pedagogy and the exploration of decolonizing pedagogy, aiming to create inclusive and empowering educational environments. Her commitment to enhancing teaching practices and promoting diversity in education drives her scholarly pursuits.
