Marius Erdt

Dr. Marius Erdt is Deputy Director of Fraunhofer IDM@NTU and heads the Visual and Medical Computing Lab. He holds both a German Diplom and PhD in Computer Science, whereas his focus was on Computer Graphics and Medical Image Processing. Since 2007, he is conducting research at Fraunhofer. His research interests are in Medical and Visual Computing, particularly in image processing and visualisation, computer aided diagnosis, computer graphics, and augmented reality. He is co-organiser and co-chair of the international clinical image-based procedures workshop and member of various program committees of international conferences. He has been invited as a speaker to many scientific events and has published over 40 peer reviewed research articles. As a supervisor of PhD, MSc and BSc students, he has ongoing collaborations with various universities and research institutions. He has worked in and led several international projects in the field of Visual and Medical Computing.
