Marium Binte Islam

Marium Binte Islam is a former Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). She pursued her MSc degree in Development Economics from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, United Kingdom. She played an integral part as a researcher in ‘CPD’s Green Cities Initiative’, a project aimed at analysing the nexus of air and plastic pollution, and the economic impact in Bangladesh. Her research interests span a wide range, including Macroeconomics, Growth and Development, Environmental Economics, Gender Economics and Econometrics. She also received training in statistical analysis tools, including STATA and R. Before her tenure at CPD, Ms Islam served as a Research Intern at Kantar Research (Bangladesh) Pvt. Ltd. and as a Research Assistant at Economics Research Platform (ERP), Department of Economics, North South University.
