Maria Luisa Nardi

Maria Luisa Nardi is a Historian of Political and Economic Institutions. She performed as high school teacher for more than 30 years, and during this time she was awarded for innovation and experimentation in teaching methods and forefront technology. She conducted research in Economic History, starting from Greek and Roman times to the current context. Her work offers valuable empirical and theoretical insights into the development of market-supporting institutions, their longterm consequences, and their relationship to state-building. Her historical review discusses recent advances in understanding the precise mechanisms responsible for the persistent effects of institutions on economic development
