Maria Georgiadi

Maria GeorgiadiMaria Georgiadi is a qualified educator/psychologist. She holds two Bachelor’s Degrees, one from the Department of Primary Education of the University of Patras and one from the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete. She also holds a Master’s Degree in special education, and she has obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in special education. She has taught in several educational contexts (the University of Crete, Institute of Professional Development, Seminars of continuous professional development, MBS college, and Open University) and participated in several research projects. Her research interests include school inclusion of children with disabilities, children's chronic illnesses and issues related to their psychological well-being, students with special educational needs, developmental disorders (autism, mental retardation, etc), and developing intervention programs for parents, teachers, and students.
