Maria Christoforou

Maria Christoforou is a PhD Candidate, focusing on the multimodal affordances of Virtual Reality (VR) and pedagogy in the learning of English as a foreign language. She works as an English Language Instructor at the Cyprus University of Technology Language Centre. She has worked in private and state Higher Education institutions in Cyprus and she has also worked as an English Language Instructor in secondary education. She has written KA1 and KA2 Erasmus+ research proposals, and organised intercultural projects through social high immersion VR with Utrecht University (Netherlands). Her research interests revolve around VR-Assisted Language Learning (VRALL), immersive technologies research, and multimodality.
