Many Wanja Kanja

Mary Kanja is Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)/ and a counseling Psychologist, she is a Research Mentor with Eider Africa and research supervisor with Pan Africa Christian University. Competent in Family Negotiation and Mediation. Qualified as a Clinical Supervisor, HIV Counsellor, Trauma Mitigation and Management Counselor. She has a passion for promoting family’s mental and spiritual health and wellbeing especially of the caregivers of children with special needs. She is PhD holder in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Pan Africa Christian University (PACU), a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at International Leadership University (ILU) formerly NIST, Bachelor in counseling psychology (Arts) at Pan Africa Christian University, Diploma in Community Development and Social Work at Rural Aid Kenya Training Institute, and a Diploma in Christian Ministry at Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST) She has publishes two Journal articles as indicated below on the effects of caregiving of children with autism spectrum disorder on the caregivers’ psychological wellbeing in selected integrated primary schools in Nairobi County, Kenya. She is affiliated to Kenya Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (KAMFT) professional body. Her hobbies are Reading, travelling, swimming, visiting with friends, knitting
