Manivannan Karunakaran

Manivannan Karunakaran is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore, India. He has received his B. E., in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2003 and M.E., in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2008. In February 2015, he completed his Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai. With more than 18 years of experience in teaching, his areas of specialization include Machine Learning and Medical image Processing. He has published 3 patents in IPR and has published more than 40 papers in reputed international Scopus/SCI indexed journals, 4 Books and Book Chapter. He has published 10 papers in National and International Conferences and has served as editor/reviewer for Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, etc., He is an active member of ISTE, IACSIT, and IAENG. He has organized several National/International conferences, Workshops and Technical Events. He is regularly invited to deliver lectures in various programs for imparting skills in research methodology to students and research scholars. He has successfully guided 5 PhD scholars in Anna University, Chennai. He has received Rs.40, 000 from Indian council of Medical Research as Seminar Grant for organizing Workshop on Application of i-SMAC Technologies &Tools for Public Health Surveillance to Prevent Epidemic Disease ATAL FDP on Blockchain from AICTE worth of Rs.90000. He has been awarded as a Recognized reviewer of Elsevier Publications in the year 2020.
