Mae Lane

Mae Lane , Ed.D., is an Associate Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning at Sam Houston State University, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. Lane’s research interests have included mentorship of novice teachers, preparation of pre-service teachers, and content area and disciplinary literacy. Her current research projects include developing pre-service teachers’ agency, relationship building, and mindfulness through classroom management, examining the relationship between literacy and social justice, and teacher leadership.
