Luisa Aires

Luisa Aires is a researcher in the Laboratory of Distance Education and eLearning (LE@D), UAb; scientific coordinator of LE@D (since October 2023). Associate Professor with habilitation at the Department of Education and Distance Learning of Universidade Aberta (UAb). the portuguese distance and the open university. Degree, masters degree and PhD in Educational Sciences (University of Salamanca; Open University); teaching activity (in higher education) and research at UAb since 1991; collaborator of RADTE (UNED, Spain); coordinator of the ObLID Network - International Network for Research and Intervention for Digital Literacy and Inclusion; member of the Quality Observatory for Distance Education and eLearning at UAb until 2019. Research fields: Online Pedagogical Relations, Digital Literacy and Digital Competences, Distance Education, Communication and Digital Media in Education; visiting professor at universities in Europe and the United States; member of editorial and scientific committees of several journals in the area of Education; founding member of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences; several published articles, book chapters and books in her fields of expertise.
