Loriann M. Bell

Loriann M. BellLoriann Bell received her Doctorate in Education, with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, in 2021. Her research interests center around effective leadership models, with an emphasis on school district leadership. She is also interested in organizational development, and Communities of Practice–developing the instructional leadership capacity of principals and classroom teachers. Dr. Bell recently retired from a Metro Detroit school district, where she provided curricular oversight for Literacy and Social Studies in grades K-12. In this role, and with The Power of Four, LLC, Dr. Bell has facilitated numerous professional learning sessions and webinars, notably “Opening Doors to Text in any Discipline using Question-Chunk-Annotate”, with the Institute for Research and Reform in Education, at the 65th Annual Michigan Reading Association Conference and “Mentorship and Community Amongst Scholars of Color Pursuing Terminal Degrees” at the 2021 International Mentoring Association Virtual Symposium.
