Leslie Fanning

Leslie Fanning is an Assistant Professor of Education and Special Education for the Community College of Rhode Island. She began her career in private early learning settings before completing her graduate degree in Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in special needs. After becoming an early interventionist and later an early childhood special education teacher, she became interested in the development and characteristics of autistic children and their families. She has since established partnerships with this community and has continued her service by preparing future professionals to effectively support the unique needs of the neurodivergent population.
