Katherine Martinez-Gongora

Kathy Martinez is a senior student at Colgate University. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. In the past she has assisted with preliminary research on the impact of entertainment media on prejudice and intergroup attitudes at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Additionally, she has assisted with research on vaccination hesitancy in minority communities at professor Rachel Dinero's Attachment and Social Health Lab. She is currently working on her honors thesis in which she will explore people's tendency to choose either positive or negative feedback and how that impacts outcomes like mood, mental health, and intentions to engage in future risky behaviors.
