K. Kayon Morgan

K. Kayon MorganK. Kayon Morgan , Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership at the University of Hartford. Dr. Morgan teaches courses in research methodology, diversity, equity and inclusion, and organizational theory and change. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, she brings expertise in critical policy analysis, student engagement, and leadership development. As a scholar-practitioner, her research focuses on the engagement of families from preschool to graduate studies (P-20); organizational systems, and policies that historically marginalize communities of color, and paradigms, and methodologies that prevent these communities from embracing their authentic selves. Dr. Morgan collaborates with faculty, students, government agencies, and non-profits both locally and globally to continuously bridge the gap between research and practice.
