José Vale

José Vale is a professor at the Porto Accounting and Business School (Polytechnic of Porto), where he teaches several courses related to accounting and management control. He is Ph.D. in Management - Accounting and Management Control - from the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto. He also holds a Master’s degree in Administration and Management and an MBA in Business Operations Management from the Portuguese Catholic University. His research interests focus on accounting, intellectual capital, knowledge management, non-financial reporting, and sustainability. He has several articles published in international journals, having also participated in different international and national conferences. Furthermore, he has been a member of different conferences’ scientific committees. He is also a member of the Porto Polytechnic’s Centre for Organisational and Social Studies and a member of the Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association.
