José Alexandre Pinto

José Alexandre Pinto holds a PhD in Didactics of Science and technology and a MSc in Science Teaching Supervision. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor in Polytechnic of Porto – School of Education, Porto, Portugal. He is currently the Vice-President of the School of Education. Previously, he was director of the department of Mathematics, Science and Technology (between 2016-2018). He is also a researcher at the Research Centre “Didactics and Technology in Education of Trainers” (CIDTFF) at the University of Aveiro. His research interests are in the areas of Teacher Education, Science Teaching Supervision and STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education). He has participated in several funded research projects and is author or coauthor of books, book chapters, peer-reviewed papers and conference communications.
