João J. Ferreira

João Ferreira is an Associate Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), member of the Research Unit in Business Sciences (NECE-UBI), Portugal, and QUT Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research, Australia. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain. He has edited or co-edited several books on strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship and published over 200 papers in premier international journals, including Technological Forecasting & Social Change, IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, Journal of Business Research, R&D Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, Management Decision, Service Business, European Management Journal, Regional Studies, and many others. He is Senior Editor of the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development and Associate Editor of Management Decision, Journal of Management and Organization, Journal of Global Information Management, Journal of the Knowledge Economy and Revista de Administração de Empresas, and his research interests include strategy, competitiveness, and entrepreneurship.
