Jenelle S. Pitt-Parker

Jenelle S. Pitt-Parker serves as Dean of the College of Education and Integrative Studies at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Dr. Pitt-Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Riverside, a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and a doctoral degree in rehabilitation counselor education from Michigan State University. Dr. Pitt-Parker has 24 years of experience working with historically underrepresented groups in schools, state, and community organizations. Dr. Pitt-Parker has 14 years of leadership experience in higher education and is an alumna of the HERS Leadership Institute at Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Pitt-Parker has 21 publications and over 50 presentations. Providing oversight of grants and contracts totaling more than $3.3 million, Dr. Pitt-Parker has received national recognition for her work in multicultural advocacy and civic engagement. Dr. Pitt-Parker has served on the City of Fresno Disability Advisory Commission, the African American Academic Acceleration Task Force and Ethnic Studies Collaborative Leadership Committee in Fresno Unified School District - third largest in the state of California.
