Jason Fitzgerald

Jason Fitzgerald is a scholar in civic and historical thinking. Dr. Jason Fitzgerald brings his years of K-12 teaching experience to his research and work with university students. Applying historical and civic thinking heuristics, systemic functional linguistics, and legitimation code theory to social studies contexts and practices, Dr. Fitzgerald collaborates with a range of P-12 and higher education stakeholders to create design-based research initiatives to support students' knowledge building.
