Jan Krasniewicz

Jan Krasniewicz is a lecturer in computing and has taught on the BSc Forensic Computing course since 2009 contributing to the course design and content. He has taught in the areas of operating system and file system forensic analysis, and currently teaches mobile phone forensics. Jan is trained in using computer forensic software such as Guidance Software’s EnCase and MSAB’s XRY mobile device forensic software. Jan also teaches in the area of programming and teaches C++ programming and 3D graphics programming with DirectX on the BSc Computer Games Technology course. He has been active as a consultant for the university in the areas of programming and web development, and has worked on a number of successful funded projects. Prior to joining the course Jan was a researcher and successfully achieved a PhD in the area of artificial intelligence.
