Islam Abdelbary

Islam AbdelbaryIslam Abdelbary is an Egyptian economist, an economic researcher at the University of Plymouth, and also a lecturer of economics at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology since 2007. He holds a PhD from the University of Plymouth in the UK, and his BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from Alexandria University. Abdelbary's current research focuses on Institutional Economics, Sustainability and economic development. He has published several research papers in ranked journals on topics in development reform policy in developing countries and particularly in the MENA region, besides presented numerous working papers at international conferences. His research has been awarded several international prizes, such as the Ibn Khaldun Prize 2018. Abdelbary also works as an independent researcher in several multi-disciplinary research projects for national and international organisations.
