Isabel López Cirugeda

Isabel López Cirugeda is an associate professor in the Department of Modern Languages (area of English) of the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, where she teaches different courses concerning English Teacher Training (English Language, English Language Methodology for Young and Very Young Learners, Education Innovation and Research in Foreign Language Teaching) in both BA and MA studies. Her main lines of research are related to such fields and include teacher training, ELT for Very Young Learners, and CLIL. She has led an Innovation Project regarding the implementation of eTwinning in her institution. She has also been a Vice-Dean of Quality and Mobility Exchange. She has been a visiting researcher at University College Cork, and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland; University of Northampton and Instituto Español Cañada Blanch in London, in the United Kingdom; Harvard University, in Cambridge, MA, in the United States; Instituto Franklin in Universidad de Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, in Spain, Pedagogical Counseling Institute - Stad Gent, in Ghent, Belgium; and in Malmö University, Sweden. She is also part of 3 Research Groups (LabinTIC, UCLM; AODIS, UCLM and IMEI, URJC). She is also a member of the Academic Committee of the Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education and ICT for Early Childhood and Primary Education and UCLM's regional coordinator for Service-Learning, Educational Research and Education Innovation in State-funded educational centres in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain).
