Hala Elhoweris

Hala ElhowerisHala Elhoweris is the College of Education Acting Dean at the United Arab Emirates University, holding a doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Special Education. Prof. Elhoweris helped develop, coordinate, manage, and conduct training programs for school professionals worldwide on teaching students with special needs, including students with determination and those with gifts and talents. Prof. Elhoweris’s areas of interest include inclusion, diversity, and teaching, assessing, and diagnosing students with exceptionalities. She has given several presentations at various international and regional conferences on these issues. Additionally, she has published research articles and book chapters related to these issues. Prof. Elhoweris served as a consultant for the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEK), Zayed Higher Organization, and Hamdan Foundation on several programs related to special and gifted education. In addition, she served as an editorial board member for several scholarly journals in her area of expertise.
