GuannPyng Li

G. P. Li , professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with appointments in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering. He is director of California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) at UCI and director of the Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility. Prior to UCI, Li worked at IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center on VLSI technology. Li holds 41 U.S. patents and has published 425 research papers involving microelectronic devices&circuits, communication and biomedical MEMS, IOT and data analytics for edge intelligence in sustainability, manufacturing, and e-health. A member of numerous technical committees at professional conferences, Li was chair of the Taiwan VLSI Technology, Circuit, and System Conference and chair of the executive committee for electronics manufacturing research and new materials at the University of California. Li is fellow of IEEE and AAIA and received IBM outstanding research contribution award, two outstanding engineering professor awards, UCI Innovators Award, and UCI Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Fostering Undergraduate Research.
