Grzegorz Mieczysław Straż

Grzegorz Straż holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering - Geotechnics. He conducts didactic and research activities at the Rzeszow University of Technology (Poland), at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Architecture, major field of Construction and additional Environmental Engineering. The teaching activity covers mainly such fields as: Mechanics of Soils and Foundations, Geotechnics, Hydraulics and Hydrology. The scope of his scientific and research interests includes, above all, issues related to the recognition, classification, determination of geotechnical parameters of soft soils, mainly organic, and aspects related to their use for the optimal foundation of building and engineering structures. He published monographs, monograph chapters and articles, participated in conferences and scientific seminars mainly in the field of Geotechnics and Soil Mechanics, organized and conducted numerous trainings and workshops in the field of geotechnical design and implementation of the latest guidelines of standards for construction industry. He is a member of national and international industry organizations.
