Gemma C. Houston

Gemma Houston is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Strathclyde. Having completed her PhD within the department, Gemma has a strong passion for teaching in the engineering field. In her role as the department’s Student Experience Adviser and the Year 1 Adviser of Studies, she is enthusiastic to develop processes that strengthen and enhance the student experience. She has a particular interest in supporting student transitions through higher education and is keen to improve community within the large MAE student cohort, and between staff and students.
