G. U. Vasanthakumar

Vasanthakumar G. U. obtained B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore University, Bengaluru, India. Blended with rich experience of around 17-years in Industry, Teaching, Administration and Research, he has accomplished the responsibilities in various capacities and currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bengaluru, India. He is recognized Research Supervisor affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, India. He has evaluated the research progress of 1-Ph.D and 1-M.Sc. (Engg) by Research Scholars so far and is currently supervising 2-Ph.D scholars. His research interests focus on Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Information Security, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. He has been granted with 1-UK Design Patent and has published 2-Patents in Indian Patent Journal, Authored and Edited 1-Book, 5-Book Chapters, and published 25-Research papers in refereed International Journals and Conferences. He is an Innovation Ambassador of Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and College SPOC for Smart India Hackathon. He is awarded as Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. He is also certified Peer Reviewer of Elsevier Researcher Academy, Program Committee and Editorial Review Board Member of reputed International Journals and Conferences and Jury member for various Project Competitions. Being an active member of various Professional and Academic bodies including IEEE, he has volunteered in organizing various Conferences, Hackathons, Workshops, Seminars and Technical Talks.
