Her Ph.D. research concentrated on collaboration within the supply chain for sustainable growth and performance in the garment value chain. Using a structured questionnaire and employing statistical analyses, the study identified factors influencing collaboration, revealing knowledge sharing among supply chain players. The research emphasized the importance of intra-organizational practices, organizational culture, and collaborative decision-making. Her contributions extend to organizing events and scenario workshops, showcasing her commitment to academia and industry collaboration. Dr. Suganya Rathan's inclusion in the team, with her profound knowledge and experience in the textile research on collaboration within the supply chain for sustainable growth and performance in the garment value chain is strategic for facilitating the project's engagement with diverse worker groups across India. Her prior contributions to similar projects underscore her capability to navigate the complex socio-cultural landscapes of India, which is invaluable for recruitment and sensitive engagement with project participants. We would also like to mention that she was owner of a textile brand “AVIE” which was into manufacturing and selling of women’s apparels.
