Funa Moyo

Funa Moyo is a senior lecturer and researcher under the Institute of Development Studies, Faculty of Commerce at NUST, having assumed that responsibility from 01 September 2012. He holds a PhD in Public and Development Management from the University of Witwatersrand, Wits School of Governance, South Africa, Masters of Science in Development Studies from the National University of Science and Technology, a Master of Education in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies from Zimbabwe Open University. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Zimbabwe and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in HIV and AIDS Behaviour Studies from UNISA. His PhD research focused on artisanal gold mining, social capital and livelihoods in rural Matabeleland. He has more than 10 years’ experience in Research and Consultancy in Zimbabwe. He has a passion in research especially in the domain of natural resource governance, public policy, public health, environmental management and development, social capital, sustainable livelihoods and rural development, community development, risk reduction, resilience building and disaster management.
