Ferhan K. Sengur

Ferhan Sengur currently is a member and the Head of Department of Department of Aviation Management, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Eskisehir Technical University, Turkey. She earned her PhD in Aviation Management and completed her Master and Bachelor degrees in Aviation Management as well. She conducted her post-doctoral research at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, USA on a grant from the Turkish Higher Education Council in 2010. Currently she also holds the position of the Director of the Women in Science and Technology Center at Eskisehir Technical University. As a Professor at the Department of Aviation Management, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Eskisehir Technical University, she had gained valuable experience in teaching both graduate and undergraduate levels. She had also conducted multiple international and national research projects, organized several conferences, delivered papers on national and international aviation and management symposiums, and published articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. She also authored several chapters and books. Prof. Sengur had also consulted the Turkish State Planning Organization, Turkish Transportation Ministry and Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation for several National Aviation legislations and White Papers. Prof. Sengur is an expert in Airport and Airline Management and her research interests incorporate but not limited to Strategic Management, Transportation Policies, and Corporate Social responsibility. Her current research interest focuses on Airport Governance Models, Airport Public Private Partnerships, Airline Business models, and Responsible Management in Aviation.
