Esther Muthoni King'ori

Esther Muthoni King’ori has a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in Communication with a specialisation in Media Studies from Daystar University, Nairobi. Her PhD thesis investigated the ethical frameworks of news bloggers who are not mainstream journalists. Esther is a lecturer at Strathmore University, Kenya where she teaches communication and media studies. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a journalist and news editor with several media organisations in Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests are in media ethics, film studies and media framing.
