Elisabeth I. Levi

Elisabeth Levi is an adjunct professor of composition at Southern New Hampshire University. She holds a BA in Linguistics, an MS.Ed in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and a Ph.D. in Educational Linguistics, all from the University of Pennsylvania. She also serves as the Vice President of Language, Assessment, and Research at Speaknow, a company that produces online language assessments. Past roles have included work as a teacher and administrator in schools for immigrant students in the New York City Department of Education, and curriculum development for online courses. Her fields of research include language assessment in the workforce, AI-powered language assessment, test alignment to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), and data-informed language instruction.
