Elisabete Soares

Maria Elisabete Santos Soares is Professor in Surveying/Geomatics Engineering in the School of Technology and Management - Polytechnic of Guarda, Portugal, since 1995. She holds a PhD Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Minho, Portugal. In her PhD thesis entitled “A sustainable urban expansion index”, she developed an urban model to assess the sustainability of urban sprawl. She develops activities and research in geospatial sciences and has skills in Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, multicriteria analysis and urban sustainability.
