Elisa Pozo Menéndez

Elisa Pozo Menéndez is an urban architect with specialisation in Sustainable Cities (UPEM-IFU, 2014) and Environment and Bioclimatic Architecture (MAYAB-UPM, 2019). She is architect, urban planner and researcher at Matia Instituto Gerontológico. She is currently finishing her PhD in Sustainability and Urban Regeneration at the Polytechnic University of Madrid on healthy ageing and cities, where she also collaborates in research projects of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She is co-author of the “Guía para planificar Ciudades Saludables” published by the Spanish Ministry of Health and the FEMP. In 2022 she was selected in the ranking of the “35 under 35” most influential people in Spain and Madrid in the world of engineering and architecture and in 2020 she received the third Talento Joven-Carné Joven award from the Community of Madrid in the category of Solidarity for her work with older people.
