Eduardo Festozo Vicente

Eduardo Vicente is an assistant Professor at Department of Biosystem Engineering, School of Sciences and Engineering, Campus of Tupã - São Paulo State University (Unesp). Graduated at Farmacy/Biochemistry at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Araraquara, São Paulo State University (2007). Master's degree in Biotechnology in 2009 and P.h.D. in Biotechnology at Institute of Chemistry, Araraquara, Unesp. Has experience in Biochemistry, focusing on peptide membrane interactions, acting on the following subjects: EPR, DEER, peptides, solid phase peptide synthesis and CD, InfraRed, UV/Vis and Fluorescence spectroscopies. Performed a doctorate-sandwich for 9 months at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Miami University - Oxford, OH - USA, with emphasis on Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance (DEER). Post-doctorate in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo (FFCLRP - USP), in Biophysics and pulsed RPE area. He has experience in the field of Biochemistry and the main studies are the interactions between peptide/protein and membrane mimetics using the techniques of solid phase peptide synthesis (SPFS), Mass Spectrometry and various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques such as HPLC, UV- VIs, CD, Fluorescence, EPR, NMR and FTIR. Currently works with application of peptides in animal and plant production. He is the leader in the research group Peptides: Synthesis, Optimization and Applied Studies - PeSEAp.
