I Working mainly in the following areas: Theoretical and Computational Modeling in Health, Simulation in Healthcare Services and Health Information Systems. Since 2010 I have coordinated Information Center for Health Informatics (CIIS), whose main objective is to ensure quality gain in health information with ramifications on care management and health research. My reserch group from of Health Intelligence Laboratory (LIS) has developed methodologies, algorithms and software products to produce the technological tools needed to build regional health care systems in a proactive way, from the possibility of treating integrated databases in the same environment with data characterizing the population and its place. The mentioned group operates in the IS area for health management and involves several Biomedical Informatics students from USP, as well as postgraduate students from the Community Health program in the Social Medicine Department, plus students in the Bioengineering interunit program involving FMRP. The CIIS incorporates several projects comprising different methodologies and technologies in health. The Regional Observatory of Hospital Care (ORAH), the Information System for Mental Health (SISAM), the Monitoring Portal for Congenital Anomaly, the Health map and the SISTb are part of this set of projects. It is important to emphasize that all development is always thought to be relevant work in three axes: (1) terminologies in health, (2) interoperability between health information systems, (3) audit and data quality.
