Derek Tranchina

Derek Tranchina currently serves as the Director of Special Projects for the Monmouth-Ocean Educational Services Commission (MOESC), where he acts as Director of the New Jersey Virtual School, runs the GED program at a local county jail, and manages a professional development academy for educators. He is also an adjunct professor of education at Monmouth University, an educational technology consultant, a Google Certified Trainer, a writer, and a speaker, regularly presenting at conferences and conventions throughout the northeast and beyond. Since earning his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Monmouth University in 2020, Derek’s work has focused on supporting transformational change in education to improve student experiences beyond the GPA, regardless of race, gender, ability level, or socioeconomic status. Always a teacher at heart, Derek believes that the true measure of success lies in the success of those we serve.
