David Ernesto Troncoso Romero

David Ernesto Troncoso RomeroDavid Ernesto Troncoso Romero received the PhD degree by the Institute INAOE, Puebla, Mexico, in 2013. From January 2011 to January 2012 he was a visiting scholar at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, College of Engineering, Florida State University (FSU) in the United States of America. He is currently with the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), Mexico, commissioned to the Graduate Studies and Research Section of the Superior School of Computer Sciences in the National Polytechnic Institute (ESCOM-IPN) in Mexico. His research interests are on the development of high-speed and power- and area-efficient digital signal processing architectures, mainly applied for next-generation communication systems. He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers, including JCR-indexed journals, international conferences and chapters in books. He is a reviewer for six JCR journals and for a number of international conferences focused on signal processing and circuits and systems. He also is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI – Sistema Nacional de Investigadores) in Mexico.

Comb Filters Characteristics and Current Applications
Miriam Guadalupe Cruz-Jimenez, David Ernesto Troncoso Romero, Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek. © 2019. 14 pages.
The comb filter is a very popular linear-phase filter due its simplicity (i.e., all its coefficients are equal to unity). As a consequence, it does not require multipliers or...
Novel Methods to Design Low-Complexity Digital Finite Impulse Response (FIR) Filters
David Ernesto Troncoso Romero, Gordana Jovanovic Dolecek. © 2019. 14 pages.
Digital filters play a central role in modern digital signal processing (DSP) systems. Finite impulse response (FIR) filters can provide solutions with guaranteed stability and...
