Dario De Domenico

Dario De Domenico is Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering at the Department of Engineering, University of Messina, Italy, and was awarded the National Scientific Habilitation for the qualification of Associate Professor in 2022. His research activity has led to over 100 papers published in peer-reviewed ISI journals in the following areas: (i) earthquake engineering and seismic behavior of new and existing structures; (ii) performance-based design and optimization of passive vibration control devices (isolators, dampers, TMDs and inerter-based control systems) for wind- and earthquake-resistant structures; (iii) limit-state behavior of reinforced concrete structures through experimental tests and development of analytical, numerical and code-oriented procedures; (iv) diagnostics, monitoring and safety assessment of existing bridges. He serves as Associate Editor of 6 referred journals, Editorial Board Member of over 10 referred journals in the area of Structural Engineering, and regular invited Reviewer of over 40 international journals with impact factor.
