Danuta Urban

Danuta Urban is a Ph.D., Professor of Institute of Soil Science, Engineering and Environmental Management, University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland). Thesis in the field: hydrogenic habitats and the genesis and evolution of valley peatlands. Research interests: transformations of marsh and post-marsh environments under the influence of human activity in the modern period and in the Holocene, biodiversity of peatlands, grasslands and forest ecosystems, management of protected areas and Natura 2000 areas, Author of 285 publications, 133 scientific articles. Teaching courses: phytosociology, forest typology, nature conservation.
