Cihan Çakır

Cihan Çakır graduated from Selcuk University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism in 2012. He completed his master's degree in Selcuk University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Journalism in 2015 with his thesis titled “Sports Media as a Field where Hegemonic Masculinity is Reproduced: An Analysis on Masculinity Discourses in Sports News”. He completed his doctorate in 2023 with his thesis titled “The Social Capital Creation Potential of Virtual Spaces: An Analysis on Social Media” at the same university. Currently, he continues his studies in the fields of social media, media and psychology, virtual spaces, computers and technology in human behavior, gender, masculinity, mobile media, family communication, and digital journalism.
