Chenthuran Jayton

Chenthu Jayton is a 15-year practitioner-scholar in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) work. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Equity Labs at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. In this role, Chenthu leads the organization in consulting and providing up-skilling strategies for non-profit, for-profit, governmental, and educational institutions. Chenthu holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education and has completed coursework toward a doctoral degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis on identity and culture. Chenthu has held several responsibilities in higher education administration. These include designing and executing strategies to advance DEIJ outcomes; program development; assessment and data-storytelling; student support services; and curriculum design and delivery. He also serves as an adjunct faculty teaching courses for the Office of Internationalization and has taught classes in other disciplines including student development theory, leadership development theory, interpersonal and intercultural communication, organizational communication, and others.
