Cathryn Peoples

Cathryn J. Peoples received the B.A. degree (with honors and diploma in industrial studies) in business studies with computing, M.Sc. degree in telecommunications and internet systems, and Ph.D. degree in networking from Ulster University, U.K., in 2004, 2005, and 2009, respectively. She is currently employed by The Open University in the School of Computing and Communications as an Associate Lecturer for the following modules: Software Engineering, The Computing & IT Project, The Apprenticeship Computing & IT Project, The Engineering Project, Advanced Work-based Learning, and Change, Strategy & Projects at Work. Cathryn is also employed on a part-time basis as a Research Associate at Ulster University working on Internet of Things (IoT) research. She works in a freelancing role for the University of Essex Online through Kaplan Open Learning as a Tutor and Content Developer on the MSc Cyber Security degree programme, and additionally is a Computer Science Assessment Specialist with Cambridge Assessment International Education. Cathryn achieved Full College membership of EPSRC in August 2018. She became an Editor-in-Chief of the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Cloud Systems in January 2020 and a Topic Editor for MDPI Electronics in January 2021. Cathryn is an Editor of the Springer book on ‘Advances in Cybersecurity Management’, to be published in 2021.
