Bossi A. Masamila

Bossi A. Masamila is an Information Technology professional with over a decade of experience in higher education. During the past 15 years, he has been responsible for network operations at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM). He received his B.Sc & MSc in Electrical Engineering from The University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in 1998 and 2002 and his MSc in Computing (IT) from Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in 2008. He has been a faculty member since 2003 and has taught courses: Data Communications, Computer Networking, Computer Network Security, Computer Network Design, Network Management Systems, Information System Management, and Research Methodologies. His main research interests include Cyber Security, Payment Technologies, and Recommender Systems. He is also a member of the Engineering Registration Board (ERB), Institute of Engineers Tanzania (IET), IEEE and a Member of the Society for Digital Informatics and Wireless Communications (SIDWC). Outside of academia, he has acted as a consultant for private and public sectors. He has achieved several certifications from Cisco and CompTIA.
