Bharatendra Rai

Bharatendra Rai is a chair and Professor in the Earle P. Charlton College of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit. His two master's degrees include specializations in quality, reliability, and operations research from the Indian Statistical Institute and another in statistics from Meerut University, India. He has vast experience in the area of applied statistics. This includes over seven years of consulting and training experience to various Indian industries such as automotive, cutting tool, electronics, food, pharmaceutical, software, chemical, defense, etc., in the areas of statistical process control, design of experiments, quality engineering, problem solving tools, six-sigma, and quality management systems. His research publications include journals such as IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Quality Engineering, International Journal of System Sciences, International Journal of Product Development, and Journal of System Science and System Engineering.
