Ayse Zerrin Yilmaz

A. Zerrin Yilmaz worked in Istanbul Technical University -Environmental Control and Construction Technologies department between 1979 and 2019. She has worked in “Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory of American Department of Energy” as researcher between 1983-1984. Since 1993, as a professor in Istanbul Technical University, she published more than 100 national and international papers in the fields of energy efficient design, building physic, green building, building energy simulation, thermal comfort, solar energy usage in building and energy efficient green building/façade design. She coordinated several national and international projects including EU projects about energy efficient buildings, renewable energy technology application in building, energy efficient retrofit. The last EU project entitled “CITYNET” which is on energy efficiency has been selected as the Star Project of the year by EU Commission. She was the coordinator of the team that developed Building Energy Certification methodology of Turkey - BEP-Tr. Professor Yılmaz worked in “Cost Optimum Energy Efficiency and Reference Building” team within the scope of EPBD-Recast as representative of Turkey.
